Surf camp Noosa offer an all-inclusive surf experience, based in the beach resort town of Noosa on Australia's Sunshine Coast.
Noosa is a thriving, stylish and modern resort that attracts everyone from budget backpackers to jet-set travelers. With trendy designer shops, magnificent restaurants and lots of bars and clubs right on the beach, Noosa is definitely a fun place to be.
Noosa is also the safest and easiest place to learn to surf in Australia, since the waves here are softer than other locations. The area is the most northerly of Australia's east coast surf locations, providing warm water and perfect super safe, waist deep beach breaks for surf lessons. Advanced surfers can also have a good time in Noosa, exploring the regions many point breaks. Swell regularly wraps into the north facing rainforest bays resulting in perfect one to three meter waves touted as the "all-time long board wave".
Besides great surfing and fun nightlife, Noosa is also famous for its natural surroundings with beautiful beaches, river systems and superb national parks. The area enjoys a pleasant sub-tropical climate with winter (June-August) day temperatures around 21 degrees C (60 degrees F). The surf school holds classes on Noosa's main beach. It is the safest and easiest place to learn to surf in Australia. Clear, clean and warm water awaits you by these northernmost surf breaks of Australia. All beginners start in waist deep water with coaches standing right beside you. The beach faces north providing gentle easy to ride waves.
Depending on your level of surfing the surf instructors, will guide you and help you to improve your surfing skills. We guarantee that one week of surf school will teach you everything you need to know, so you can then go off and buy a surfboard and go surfing on your own successfully!

Guided surf trips
Surfaris are guided surf trips for advanced surfers. The surf camp does not offer any surfaris. However, the surf school alternative is designed for more experienced surfers as well.
For advanced level surfers who wish to improve their style and surf better, the surf camp offer very informative surf classes held by Merrick Davis, World Pro Am Surfing Champion. There are lots of great point breaks around, where Merrick can take you to have advanced lessons. The biggest swell occurs in summer which is when the point breaks work best but fun waves can be found the rest of the year as well.
If you are an advanced surfer who wants to come and surf fun waves and improve your surfing skills a bit more you can book the surf school alternative.
Surf camp accomodation
The accommodation we offer is a surf hostel located in central Noosa, close to all amenities, restaurants and the river. Depending on your preferences we can offer you two different types of accommodation, standard or upgraded.
The standard accommodation is a dormitory kind of accommodation. You will get your own bed and a closet for your stuff but you will share bedroom, bathroom etc. with 4 to 5 other guests. This is a great option for single travelers, giving you a perfect opportunity to meat new friends.
If you are traveling with a friend or as a couple, you can also get your own twin/double room (upgraded accommodation) in the same premises.
The hostel is a safe, friendly and clean place. It has a kitchen, restaurant, bar, garden, hammocks, swimming pool, Laundry service,Internet, TV, pool table and a tour desk.
How to get here
Arrival to the area is possible by flight to the Sunshine Coast airport and to Brisbane airport. The Sunshine Coast airport (airport code: MCY) is located 26 kilometers south of Noosa (10 km north of Maroochydore). Brisbane airport (airport code : BNE) is located 90 kilometers south of Noosa (15 kilometers northwest of Brisbane).
Sun Air bus service provides Airport transfers from both Brisbane airport and Sunshine Coast airport. Upon arrival at the airport proceed to the Sun-air counter and let them know you want to go to Noosa.
Many travelers arrive by bus from other destinations on the Australian East coast. McCafferty's/ Greyhound and Premier have several bus services per day to/ from several destinations, including Brisbane (2,5 hours), Hervey Bay/ Fraser Island (5,5 hours), Airlie Beach (17 hours) and Cairns (28 hours).
Upon arrival in Noosa a staff member will meet you at Noosa Bus depot and give you a ride to your accommodation.
